Porter Nitrious Oxide Sedation systems

The Porter MXR flowmeter makes up for many of the inconveniences found in other brands of units. Flowmeter tubes are calibrated so that at a 50/50 gas mixture, the flowmeter balls are at the same level; therefore with a subliminal glance the operator can tell which gas is dominant. This is not true with most other machines. A constant litre flow can be delivered, while the nitrous proportion is varied (a gas saver).
The proportioning valve is calculated in percentage nitrous (which cannot exceed 70%).

Porter systems are available in both cabinet mounted and mobile type systems.
 
  1. Porter FLowmeter tubes provide accurate, visual flow readings.
  2. Dual Seal Fail-Safe automatically reduces N20 if 02 is shut off or pressure is reduced.
  3. Gas Control Block virtually eliminates internal gas leaks. One piece, solid aluminium construction.
  4. Gas Flow Adjustment Knobs are throttle type for quick and accurate adjustment of gas flows.
  5. Emergency Air Valve automatically provides patient with ambient air if gas flow is interrupted or reduced.
  6. Check Valve prevents rebreathing of used gases and guards against CO2 build-up.
  7. Positive ON-OFF eliminate the possibility of accidentally leaving the machine on.
  8. Oxygen Flush Button provides and easily accessible over all other gas flows and delivers 100% Oxygen.
  9. Posi-Stop Needle Valves allow adjustment of all flows at a touch-preventing damage to valves and seats.
  10. Oxygen Quick Connect (not shown) facilitates connection of resuscitation equipment to the central system.
  11. Flowmeter provides reliable accuracy in litres per minute and percent N2O of total flow.
  12. Total Flow Adjustment Knob controls flow of both N2O and O2 at any desired concentration. Total flow can be adjusted with affecting concentration. Low flow capacity means economy of operation.
